On June 15, 20 soldiers including Commanding Officer Col Santosh Babu were killed in the clash with Chinese troops. The Army said soldiers had succumbed to their critical injuries since they had been exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain. The faceoff included stone pelting and also clashes which involved use of barbed wire and iron rods. Some of the soldiers who fell into the Shyok river died of hypothermia.
It is not known if Devgn himself will feature in the film’s cast.
Devgn will next be seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India, which is set to premiere on Disney + Hotstar. The film, written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, and Sharad Kelkar.
