Actor Salman Khan announced his new brand of personal care products—FRSH. In a video message on social media, Salman said that the initial plan was to launch deodorants, but they have decided to deliver sanitisers first, as that is the need of the hour.

The Frsh sanitisers, which are 72 per cent alcohol-based, are available on the brand’s official website, and will be later available at stores, he said. Besides sanitisers, body wipes and perfumes will also be available under the brand.

The demand for sanitisers has shot up amid the coronavirus pandemic, with handwashing being cited as one of the most important prevention steps. India registered its biggest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases for the fourth consecutive day on Monday with 6,977 new infections, reported in the last 24 hours, taking the country's tally to 1,38,845, while the death toll rose to 4,021, according to the Union health ministry.

Salman is currently at his farmhouse in Panvel, where he has been staying with friends and family. He had travelled to Panvel just before the lockdown was announced. Salman has been active on social media, sharing awareness posts on the pandemic and urging people to stay at home.

Salman is also involved in COVID-19 relief, especially donating money towards supporting workers in the entertainment industry that has been hit by the complete lockdown.
