Abdullah Khan, a 38-year-old nephew of actor Salman Khan, died on Monday in Mumbai. Initial media reports were unclear on the cause of death, with some organisations reporting Abdullah had died of a lung infection, triggering rumours of him suffering from coronavirus.

Abdullah had been admitted at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai some days back, but Salman Khan reportedly shifted him to the Lilavati Hospital as his condition worsened.

Mateen Khan, a cousin of Salman Khan, told ABP News that Abdullah was suffering from diabetes and refuted claims that he may died of the coronavirus, saying, "These claims are baseless and the truth will be revealed after the postmortem report comes."

Salman mourned Abdullah's death in a Twitter post early on Tuesday morning, putting an image of the two together, with the caption, "Will always love you..."

While not directly associated with Bollywood, Abdullah has appeared with Salman Khan in social media videos and photographs and was known for his toned physique.
