In the midst of the controversial Income Tax raids against Tamil superstar Vijay, a selfie of the actor with fans is breaking the internet. On Monday, Vijay took to Twitter to post the picture which shows him and hundreds of fans behind him. “Thank you Neyveli,” he tweeted.

Vijay is currently shooting for his upcoming movie Master, helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Sethupati, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das. He was in the news over the past week with I-T raids against him in connection with the box office success of his Pongal release Bigil. The raid at his Chennai residence went on for more than 30 hours. The IT raids were also conducted against the film's producer AGS enterprises and financier Anbu Chezhiyan.
According to reports, the actor was again summoned by the I-T department for interrogation, but he requested an extension so that he can complete the film's shooting. Earlier, a few BJP workers had protested against Vijay at the location in Neyveli.
The selfie is seen as Vijay's message to his fans that the recent events have not affected him, and is also a proof of the massive fan following the actor enjoys in the state.
