Kollywood actor Suriya had two releases in 2019—NGK and Kaappaan. While the movies may have entertained hardcore Suriya fans, these movies weren't exactly money-spinners.
Hence, there has been a lot of excitement surrounding his next release, Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara. The first look of the film, released in November, had generated much curiosity, and ever since the fans have been waiting fore further details about the movie. "Here's Maara.. An ordinary man with an extraordinary dream," the actor had then tweeted, posting the first look.

On Wednesday, the makers of the movie released the second look. In the poster, the image of a bird has been superimposed on the face of the actor against the background of handwritten words.
Sharing the second look of the movie on his Twitter handle, the actor wrote, "Wishing you all a year full of great moments! Here's #SooraraiPottruSecondLook".

There have been speculations that the movie will be based on the life of G.R. Gopinath, founder, Air Deccan. The fans may have to wait till January 7 to know more about the film as the trailer will be dropped on that day.
The movie is expected to be released during summer. Apart from Suriya, Soorarai Pottru also features Mollywood actor Aparna Balamurali, Sampath Raj and Mohan Babu.
