Malayalam actor Manju Warrier and a 30-member film crew, who were stranded in a remote village in Himachal Pradesh which has been witnessing heavy rains and floods for the past few days, have been rescued and are being shifted to a base camp, reports Manorama News.

They have to walk 22 kilometres to reach the base camp. They have also been given food and water.
Himachal Pradesh police sources too have confirmed that the actor and the movie crew are safe. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muralidharan reportedly said the actor and the team will be shifted to Manali.
Kerala government's special representative in New Delhi, A. Sampath, said he has spoken to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the commissioner of police over the matter.
The plight of the crew came to light after the actor contacted her family through a satellite phone on Monday night. They have been camping for two weeks at Chatra, a scenic hamlet in the Himalayan valley and located over 80km away from Manali, for the shooting of director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's upcoming movie, Madhu Warrier, brother of Manju Warrier had television channels.
After the actor had said there was food for only two days in reserve and there was no communication facility, her family sought the help of the authorities on Tuesday for their safe evacuation.
