Hungarian artist slams 'Judgementall Hai Kya' makers for plagiarism

Flora Borsi, a Hungarian photographer has accused makers of Bollywood film Judgementall Hai Kya of plagiarising her work. Sharing posters of the film featuring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao, she pointed out the uncanny resemblance to her photographs, and slammed the makers for not seeking permission.

“It’s a famous bollywood movie poster called “Judgementall Hai Kya”. They didn’t ask for any permission nor reached me out. It’s a shame for big companies plagiarising freelance artists work,” she wrote on Facebook.

Support has been pouring out in her favour on social media, with many calling out the actors and producer Ekta Kapoor. She thanked everyone for the support and said she does not want anyone expressing hatred twoards a nation. "Bollywood has nothing to do with this. It’s all about the art department and the creative director," she added.

Judgementall Hai Kya which released on July 26 has been having a steady run at the box office, with Kangana and Rajkummar getting positive reviews for their performance The film, directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, had kicked up a row due to its previous title Mental Hai Kya. Members of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had written a letter to the CBFC seeking a change in the title of Mental Hai Kya stating they find it derogatory and demeaning to the mentally ill people. The title was then changed to Judgementall Hai Kya.

The film landed in yet another controversy when Kangana picked up a fight with a journalist during the promotional event of the film recently. The Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India also decided to boycott Kangana till she issued a public apology. Though Ekta Kapoor issued and apology, Kangana did not.
