Thousands of fans across the world are not liking the way Game of Thrones season 8 is turning out to be. And this palpable anger has taken the form of a petition on change.org. Titled 'Remake Game of Thrones season 8 with competent writers', the petition has already received 2,23,398 signatures at the time of writing this article, and is still counting.
The petition reads: “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.
This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO.”
Ever since the highly-anticipated final season started airing, fans have been upset about the plot twists, unreasonable character endings, and much more. The series, based on A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin, outpaced the books from season 6 onwards.
