As voting began for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha polls on Monday, there are a few celebrities in the fray.

Polling will be held in 17 seats in Maharashtra, 13 each in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, eight in West Bengal, six each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, five in Bihar, three in Jharkhand and a part of the Anantnag constituency in Jammu and Kashmir. Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar, singer Babul Supriyo, and veteran Bengali actresses Moon Moon Sen and Satabdi Roy will try their luck in phase four of the polls.

Urmila Matondkar takes the electoral plunge on a Congress ticket from Mumbai North constituency in Maharashtra. All eyes are on the Rangeela actress as the constituency has remained the BJP's citadel for most part of the past 30 years. Matondkar, who said she joined the Congress because she believed in the party's ideology, will face BJP's sitting MP Gopal Shetty.

In West Bengal's Asansol constituency, it is star wars, as singer and BJP's sitting MP Babul Supriyo locks horns with veteran Bengali actress Moon Moon Sen. Sen is the Trinamool Congress's sitting MP from Bankura. Sen has remained a star-campaigner and crowd puller for the TMC. In a surprising move this time, she was moved to Asansol from Bankura where she had done the unthinkable—defeat CPM's nine-time MP Basudeb Acharia in 2014.

Satabdi Roy, an actress who ruled Bengali cinema in the late 1980's and '90s, will try her luck again from Birbhum in West Bengal. Roy has been the Trinamool Congress's sitting MP in Birbhum since 2009.
