Valentine's Day this year brings two much-anticipated films from Bollywood and Mollywood—Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy and Omar Lulu's Oru Adaar Love.

Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, follows the journey and struggles of a rapper from the slums of Mumbai. The film has been receiving rave reviews from celebrities and critics alike after its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. The film is inspired from the lives of underground rappers Divine and Naezy. Ranveer has everyone floored with his rapping skills displayed in the teasers and promotional events. Alia Bhatt, too, has captured attention with her restrained looks and intense acting. As Ranveer and Alia Bhatt share screen space, fans await to see how their chemistry works out on screen. Kalki Koechlin also plays a pivotal role in the film.

Oru Adaar Love, starring 'wink sensation' Priya Prakash Varrier will be a litmus test of sorts for the actress who shot to overnight fame even before her debut film released. Ever since the winking scene from a song sequence from the Malayalam film went viral last year, she has been at the receiving end of both love and hatred online. A high school love story, the film also features Roshan Abdul Rahoof and Noorin Shereef among others. Piggybacking on the social media fame, the film will also release in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on February 14. Recently, another teaser clip which featured a lip lock between the film's lead pair—Priya and Roshan—had received much backlash online. The film will face tough competition as it takes on Ranveer-Alia starrer Gully Boy.
