Social worker and writer Aparna Prasanthi has been targeted online by the fans of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, apparently after she made an adverse comment against his latest film. She has been threatened with rape and murder. They have also threatened to eliminate her family. Prasanthi, who is the daughter of writer P. Geetha, has complained to the Malappuram police, the state DGP and the chief minister.
However, there is no let up in the volley of abuses and threats she has been receiving over the past two weeks. Trouble began soon after she made an online comment against a Telugu film, dubbed in Malayalam as Ente Peru Surya, Ente Veedu India. Several such threats are from original social media profiles. Even neighbours, reports claim, sent threatening messages.
