I use ChatGPT, I am excited about it, says Apple CEO Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed that he uses ChatGPT and is excited about it. He observed that the chatbot has some unique applications.

During an interaction in ABC’s 'Good Morning America', the Apple CEO was asked if he uses ChatGPT, the chatbot developed by OpenAI. "Of course I use it, I am excited about it. I think there are some unique applications for it. It is something we are looking at closely," he said.

Speaking about the future of modern technology, including artificial intelligence, Cook said Apple does integrate AI into its products, but people don't necessarily think about it.

"What people are now talking about is these large language models, and I think they have large promise. I think it is very important to be very deliberate and very thoughtful in the development and deployment of these because they can be so powerful that you worry about things like bias and misinformation, maybe wars in some cases," Cook said.

He observed that the space calls for regulations added that the regulations need to be dynamic as the technology is evolving and progressing quickly. It is incumbent on companies to regulate themselves, he said.
