Vedanta approves third interim dividend. All you need to know

The Vedanta Group announced the third interim dividend for shareholders, on Tuesday. The mining company announced a dividend of 1,750 per cent per share or ₹17.50 for the financial year 2022-23.

November 30, Wednesday, has been fixed as the record date for the dividend. 

“We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company through resolution passed by circulation on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 have approved Third Interim Dividend of ₹ 17.50 per equity share i.e. 1750% on face value of Re. 1/- per share for the Financial Year 2022-23 amounting to c. ₹6,505 crores," the Anil Agarwal-led company said in a regulatory filing.

Vedanta is the highest dividend-paying company in the country. Till November 2022, the company paid Rs 16,681 core in dividends. The ex-dividend date for Vedanta is November 29.

Vedanta shares closed 0.81 per cent higher at Rs 310.40, on Tuesday.
