Dnyanesh Dongare's journey is the one that inspires. He began his photography career in 2014 and started Maxraj Photography in 2016, which has now become one of the top maternity and newborn photography studios in India. Here, the ace photographer from Pune answers some interesting questions about himself and his life as a photographer.

1) How is your life as a photographer?

As a photographer, life is amazing. I enjoy my work and I am really glad that I can do something that I love.

2) Tell us something about your personal life.

Well, I am a simple person living a simple yet happy life. I live in Pune city and these days mostly my photoshoot sessions take place in Pune itself.

3) Let's get more personal. Are you single?

I would say I think there is still some time for me to make a comment on this. I am currently focusing on my photography career.

4) What is the best thing about being a photographer?

the best thing about being a photographer, is you get to work on your own terms with full freedom. You also get to meet new people from different parts of the world, from different backgrounds and it's really great to have brief conversations with them. Initially, it is definitely not that easy and one may not find any work, but anything is possible if you put all your efforts, and continue to satisfy your customers on a consistent basis.

5) When did you begin with photography and Do you remember your very first photoshoot ?

I started photography in 2014 when my dad gifted me a camera. The first thing I shot on it was my brother's wedding.

6) Tell us about your favorite photography categories.

I absolutely love doing maternity photography and baby photography. It is pure joy to create forever memories for to-be mothers. Baby photography makes me really happy, as I get to forget about everything and enjoy the present moment with the little ones. Apart from this, I also conduct pre-wedding photography sessions as well as celebrity and model portfolio sessions.

7) What makes you the best maternity and newborn photographer in India?

There are many best photographers out there who are creating really stunning pictures. I would say that I may not be the best photographer, but I certainly know how to create your best memories.

8) Do you think that there is a spike in the number of parents coming forward for maternity photoshoots in India?

Yes, These days many to-be moms wish to chronicle there precious times. You know when highly influential bollywood celebrities like Anushka Sharma and Kareena Kapoor celebrate such precious times with their maternity photoshoots, all you can see is the number of expecting moms wishing to get their maternity photography sessions done to keep on increasing.

9) What is your educational qualification?

I am a mechanical engineer by education.

10) What made you shift towards photography from mechanical engineering?

Engineering is a good field but I was frankly not enjoying it. Photography is something that I love to do and I think it's easier for me to be a good photographer rather than being a good engineer.

11) Tell us about your idea of a perfect workday.

A perfect workday for me is the one when I get ready well before time, when I get enough time during travel to imagine about how I'll be executing the photoshoot, and finally completing it as per the plan.

12) What do you do when it's a non-working day for you?

I spend time with my dogs. I also love isolating myself from the world and think about life. I also love to read books and I am in fact currently writing my first novel.

13) Tell us about your novel and when are you launching it?

I cannot say much about it at the moment but I am working on it for a long time now. I hope I'll complete it sometime soon.

14) What would you have been if not a photographer?

I would have loved to be an actor. But more than that, I would have loved to be a soldier. I salute everyone who are standing there on borders far away from their homes and families.

15) Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Just like many people, I too have a few simple goals and dreams that I wish to achieve with time and I am currently working on them. But I would say even after 5 years, I would love to continue meeting new people and continue to make their forever memories.

Dnyanesh Dongare is undoubtedly one of the best photographers in India and his website displays some of his best works which are simple yet magical enough to grab your attention.
