Tesla, the company known for electronic cars, has been aiming for a production rate of 6,000 Model 3 vehicles per week by the end of August and an overall production of 50,000 to 55,000 Model 3 vehicles throughout the quarter.

Though the company headed by Elon Musk has missed the production rate goal, it is on track for its overall third quarter goal. Tesla was slightly off by its weekly production goal last week too.

As of August 31, the company about 53,000 vehicles including over 34,700 Model 3 vehicles in Q3.

At the current production rate, Tesla should achieve at least the lower-end of their Model 3 production guidance. The news comes on the heels of Musk withdrawing from his plan of taking Tesla private which drew in much scrutiny from shareholders and regulators.

The shares of the company had not been trading well and the company has also been facing investor lawsuits. However, it does look like the current production numbers will help the company stay afloat.
