Is it Netflix or Rad-flix? Twitterati amused at Radhika Apte overload on Netflix

apte-ghoul Radhika Apte in 'Ghoul'

The moment Netflix decides to produce an Indian series, the joke goes, Radhika Apte is already doing her hair and makeup in the green room. The seeming omnipresence of the talented young actress in the streaming platform has given birth to a lot of good-natured ribbing on social media. Apte has starred in three Netflix releases this year—Lust Stories, Sacred Games, and Ghoul .

In fact, Netflix, capitalising on the chatter, managed to get in some good zingers on Twitter, and a spoof video where Apte is in conversation with Vikramaditya Motwane about playing every single role in an upcoming Netflix film.

Lust Stories, Sacred Games and now Ghoul. Is there too much of Radhika Apte on Netflix?

Weighing in on the question that became viral on social media, the actor said she took it as a compliment.

"I was very happy. I think it is a great compliment because it is such a great platform. Who would not like to be a part of the projects from Netflix," Apte told PTI.

"With Netflix, what happens is that they stress on the quality because it is a global platform. They will give you the freedom to choose topics, projects and creative control but they are very particular about the quality," she added.
