Some individuals never give up, no matter what obstacles they face and as for Davis Koh, he is one such person. Often ranked in the last few positions in his class, he was never good with his studies and was often bullied by other students because of his grades. No matter how hard he tried, studies was never a thing for him.

Fast forward to today, Davis is the co-founder of WECOFA, one of Singapore’s leading digital marketing agencies that help businesses to acquire high quality leads through customised digital marketing strategies.

Looking back, he felt that he wouldn’t have been where he is today if it wasn’t for the things he have went through in the past.

Despite not finding success in his first two business ventures, Davis continued to work and learn as much as he could till he figured out what was the next best thing to do. On his 3rdbusiness attempt, he went on and started WECOFA with his business partner Ken Ong in 2018. Both of them worked tirelessly to make their business stand out in the industry. Eventually their hard work got paid off, and within a short period of time, their company were awarded the ‘SME500 Award’ in 2020 by the Association of Trade of Commerce Singapore.

Davis Koh was asked what influenced him to keep going on in his life despite all these challenges. "My parents are the biggest motivators in my life," Koh says. He adds, “I’vealways wanted to make them proud and provide the best for them as a way of repaying them for raising me up. I'm glad Iam able to do so, and my parents are pleased with the way I'm progressing in my professional life."

Davis shared that it is very important to find your big why and it is only when you truly understand deep down on why you are doing what you are doing, you will then be able to unlock the never ending stream of energy that will keep pushing you forward.

He added on that it is also important to love what you do and to realise the impact it can have on others. Some groups of people that he draws motivation from are his team members and also his clients.

Koh explains, "Every team member is unique and makes a significant contribution. Their dedication motivates me in wanting to accomplish more for them and for the team. And as for our clients, we take every of them seriously because we know that the work we do will not only have a direct impact on our client’s business, but on their employees and also their family members."

In a few pointers, he explains to what he attributes his success -

• Personal Values

• Be respectful and stay humble

• Always have the attitude to keep learning

• Surround yourself with positive and like-minded people

• Have the courage to try new things and never be afraid tofail

• Always create a resolution that all parties can win and if this can’t be done, then make sure the others win first.

Davis Koh says that he is happy with the current progress of WECOFA and has plans in the pipeline to further expand their operations to overseas within the next 1 to 2 years. He hopes that by doing so, they are able to spread their vision to more parts of the world and create more opportunities just like their company name WECOFA which also stands for ‘WE Create Opportunities For All’.
