The online registration process for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2020 cycle will end on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

The last date to pay the application fee, however, is March 3, 2021.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the UGC NET 2020 examination online at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

How to apply for UGC-NET Dec 2020 Cycle:

1. Go to website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the link that reads ‘Fill Application Form Dec 2020 Cycle (May 2021)’ under the ‘Introduction’ section.

3. A new window will open to the ‘UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021)’ page.

4. Click on the ‘New Registration’ link on the left if you are a new user or sign in (on the right side) using your registered credentials.

Candidates may also use this direct link to apply online.

The UGC NET December 2020 computer-based examination is scheduled to be conducted from May 2 to 17, 2021.

The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC-NET exam for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. The test consists of two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in a single three-hour duration.

Candidates belonging to the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000, while candidates from the General-EWS and OBC-NCL category need to pay Rs 500.

For candidates belonging to the reserved category, the registration fee is Rs 250.
