ICJ verdict a major victory for India: Baloch Diaspora France President

Hailing the verdict by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, Baloch Diaspora France President Ali Akbar Mengal said the decision is a "victory for humanity."

Describing the ICJ verdict as a major victory for India and also a victory for justice and human rights, Mengal said, "The Pakistani government, intelligence agencies and the army have been carrying atrocities and acts of genocide against the Baloch people."

Urging the United Nations and the international community to understand the double game of Pakistan, Mengal said,"Pakistan is a hub of terrorism as it is producing Islamic terrorism for the entire world. There exists thousands of training camps in Pakistan which are producing the next generation of terrorism."

Mengal further demanded that Pakistan should be tried by the ICJ for genocide of the Baloch people as well.

Referring to Osama Bin Laden's compound in the Pakistan military academy, Mengal called upon the international community to take action against Pakistan that is promoting religious terrorism across the world and the terrorists who are operating under the patronage of Pakistan intelligence agencies.

The ICJ on Thursday stayed the execution of former Indian navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, sentenced to death by a Pakistan military court on charges of espionage and subversive activities.

In its order indicating provisional measures, which was adopted unanimously, the court also stated the Pakistan government shall inform it of all measures taken in implementation of that order.

Citing a report by the Human Rights Watch, Mengal said that more than 20,000 Baloch people went missing.

Baloch people and activists have been consistently protesting against the CPEC, alleging that Pakistan is only concerned about exploiting the resources of Balochistan for Beijing and its advantage.
