Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf is in a critical state at a Naval medical facility in Karachi, Pakistan media reported on Thursday.
According to Dunya News, Musharraf was rushed to the PNS Shifa hospital on Thursday morning after he fainted at his home. He has since been shifted to an intensive care unit as his condition deteriorated, the report said.
A team of expert doctors is reportedly treating the former military dictator amid high security. No further details regarding his health or condition is available.
Musharraf, 72, has had health issues before as well. In 2014, he was taken to hospital for a heart condition the day he was due to appear in court.
