In a shocking revelation, a Kurdish news agency reported that at least 250 women were executed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria for refusing to become sex slaves in Iraqi city of Mosul.
Quoting a Kurdish official, AhlulBayt reported that sometimes the families of the girls were also murdered for rejecting the practice of sexual jihad.
"At least 250 girls have so far been executed by ISIS for refusing to accept the practice of sexual jihad, and sometimes the families of the girls were also executed for rejecting to submit," Said Mamuzini, a representative from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, told the news agency.
According to reports, the victims had been ordered to accept 'temporary marriages' to fighters in the terror group. But when they refused, they were butchered.
Mosul has been under the control of ISIS since 2014. The terror group has enforced a strict and suffocating version of Sharia law in its caliphate. Report said women must be fully covered in public, they can't talk to the opposite sex, and are routinely ordered into forced marriages.
Earlier this year the ISIS had executed several teachers and civil servants in Mosul for refusing to follow a new curriculum introduced by the terror group. Sources said ISIS wants to remove major subjects like maths, biology, chemistry and philosophy from curriculum and introduce lessons on jihad and the history of ISIS.
