Chelsea Clinton to pump up mom's campaign

Chelsea-Clinton-campaign Chelsea Clinton | AP

With the presidential battle down to the last 16 days, Chelsea Clinton, who so far kept a low profile in her mother Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign, is stepping out. She is scheduled to deliver talks across New York, a Democratic state, La Crosse, Stevens Point and Madison in Wisconsin (a swing state), Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati in Ohio, a Trump-leaning swing state.

Chelsea, who recently had her second child, has given only one speech of note so far. She spoke at the Democratic convention, when Hillary was nominated party's presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, Hillary is also getting some star power in her rally. Singer Katy Perry is slated to perform at Philadelphia on November 5 for the 'Get Out the Vote' event, Bon Jovi for the same at Tampa, Florida while Jenifer Lopez would perform at Miami for the same event on October 29. Michelle Obama would join Hillary for an 'Early Vote Rally' at Salem, North Carolina, while President Barack Obama would do so at the same rally in Florida on October 28. Most of these star performances are being done at crucial swing states, which have become even more important in an extremely polarised election.

Former president Bill Clinton is yet to make an appearance anywhere.
