The victory and wake parties of Election 2016 are both scheduled in Manhattan. Though Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are both fighting for a residence in a modest sized house in Washington DC it's the Big Apple that they will celebrate in (or mourn).
New York Hilton Midtown has been booked by Trump for 'Victory Party', The Jacob K Javits Convention Centre is the venue for Election Night Event for the Clinton camp. The Hillary camp has certainly been more careful in their choice.
The distance between the two venues is just two miles.
NY has always been Trump's city—he was born in Queens. Hilary moved to NY after her husband's presidential tenure was over and she was elected senator from here. The daughters of both the candidates—Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton, too, are Manhattan residents.
