Electing to bat, India scored 280 for 8 in the first ODI against New Zealand on Sunday.

India won the toss and opted to bat against New Zealand in the first of three-match One-Day International (ODI) series at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

India included batsman Dinesh Karthik in the playing XI.
