Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal produced yet another dominant performance as she eased past Malaysia’s Jin Wei Goh in straight sets to race into the quarterfinals of the Australian Open Super Series in Sydney on Thursday.

Saina, who is aiming to secure her maiden title of the season, claimed a comfortable 21-12, 21-14 win over her Malaysian compatriot in the second round encounter that lasted 37 minutes.

With the win, Saina has set up a clash with world number two Ratchanok Intanon for a place in the last four.

The 26-year-old has been struggling to breach the last-four stage in the major tournaments as she made a slew of semifinal finishes at the Swiss Grand Prix Gold, India Super Series, Malaysia Super Series Premier Open and Asia Badminton Championships.

Saina is also seeded seventh in the tournament after world number one Carolina Marin, who ended the former's campaign in Jakarta in the quarterfinals last week, pulled out at the last minute.

Meanwhile, in the men's singles event, Kidambi Srikanth has also stormed into the quarter-finals after brushing aside his Indonesian opponent Sony Dwi Kuncoro 21-19, 21-12 in 34 minutes.
