Moto X Play up for grabs in India with a competitive price tag

Motorola’s latest entrant Moto X Play was launched in India on Monday. The new smartphone, which is up for grabs on Flipkart since Monday midnight, is available in two variants. While the 16 GB Moto X Play has been priced at Rs 18,499, the 32 GB version comes with a competitive price tag of Rs 19,999.

The makers of Motorola are targeting costumers who look for smartphones with a string of latest features and specifications under Rs 20,000 price category. Nevertheless, it faces huge competition from its Chinese counterparts in the market.

The latest Motorola runs on Android v5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS and boasts of a 5.5 inch touchscreen with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with a 21 MP primary camera and 5 MP secondary camera.

The device is powered by 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and 2 GB RAM. It has a 3,630 mAh Li-Ion Battery, which promises a whopping 30 hours battery backup. The new devices (16 GB and 32 GB) also allows their users to expand the storage capacity up to 128 GB via microSD card.

The 4G enabled mobile phone supports dual nano SIM cards and for connectivity it supports Wifi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS.

The Moto X Play with its competitive price tag rivals Asus Zenfone 2, Xiaomi Mi4 among others under Rs 20, 000 category.
