Carry on gaming!

HyperX, a division of Kingston Technology, has recently launched its CloudX Pro Gaming Headset for the Xbox games console, in India.

The headset has 53mm drivers and allows users to adjust volume inline, without going into console settings—a useful feature for  hardcore gamers. It comes with two interchangeable foam ear cushions with padded leatherette. There’s also a removable microphone — a definite plus, as users can attach it as and when required. The headset has an aluminium frame with a closed back design and comes with a hard shell carrying case.

Although HyperX has specifically designed the headset for Xbox, it also offers compatibility with mobile devices and other consoles.

We tried out these headphones and found that the audio performance was  really immersive. The HyperX CloudX  costs Rs. 9,999 at online and retails stores in  India.

Le Me headphones: Luxury feel

Noise reduction technology shuts out ambient noise during phone calls

The China-headquartered LeEco, better known in India for smartphones,  has launched some accessories at its rupee-priced online shop LeMall.com — like ear phones, headphones and speakers.

The recently introduced LeMe Bluetooth headphones have a sleek, luxury feel rarely encountered in this price range.   The 40mm moving coil speakers deliver good sound at the lower ( bass) frequencies —something entry level products rarely achieve. The leather covered, cushioned and adjustable headband make for a comfortable fit and at 240 grams it  feels very light.

The mike is hidden in the right side phone casing which also contains nicely recessed but easily accessible buttons for Volume plus and minus, Pause, Previous and Next buttons. When Bluetooth linked to an mobile phone, the calls come through very clearly —thanks to noise reduction by a digital signal processor. A full battery charge claims to provide 10 hours of phone talk and music playback. The LeMe headphones sells on their site for Rs 2499.
