A young man's desire to click a selfie with a moving train proved fatal for him in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district.

Jayesh, 18, lost his life late Saturday after being hit by a train while he was posing for a selfie near it at Mangliya village of the district, police said on Sunday.

"Jayesh, along with his two friends—Ajay and Amit—went near the railway tracks to click pictures. Jayesh met with the accident while he was posing for the selfie," a police official told IANS.

He was immediately taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead, the official added.

Police said both his friend were being interrogated.

In October, a youth fell to death in a dam while trying to click a selfie in the same district.
