In the upcoming Garba season at Bhopal, young men wanting to participate in the dance festivals will have to drink panchgavya—a brew of cow milk, urine, dung, curd and ghee—if the demand of Sanskriti Bachao Manch is accepted by the organisers.

Sanskriti Bachao Manch has demanded that non-Hindus should be kept away from the dance festival during Dussehra celebrations to prevent Hindu girls falling prey to love jihad. Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, chief of Sanskriti Bachao Manch, has asked the district administration and organisers of the Garba shows to verify the religion of participants.

Tiwari told mediapersons that his organisation will ask young men to drink panchgavya to prove their religion. He said "many young men conceal their religion and enter the arena".

Earlier, the Hindu Utsav Samiti (HUS) had demanded that Aadhaar card be made mandatory to keep non-Hindus away from Garba festivals.

Tiwari said, "in the wake of growing number of cases of love jihad, we have asked the parents to instruct their daughters to choose their dance partners carefully". He said "many Muslim boys pretend to be Hindus to grow closer to Hindu girls’’.

He said that the entrants should be made to drink panchgavya and a vermilion teeka applied to their forehead. This, he said, would be in addition to strict inspection of Aadhaar card.

Sanskriti Bachao Manch had earlier demonstrated against Pakistan and the US, over mistreatment of Indian nationals. It had also protested against billboards and signs of innerwears and condoms at shops.
