VS will be discarded if LDF came to power in Kerala: state Cong chief

Mocking at LDF's slogan for the Kerala Assembly elections, KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran on Thursday said that the LDF will do away with party veteran V.S. Achuthandan first if it comes to power.

"The inner meaning of the LDF slogan, which says everything will be alright when it comes to power, is clear now. Things are turning into a level signalling that V.S. Achuthanandan will be done away with first when the LDF comes to power.

"What is visible in the statements of Pinarayi Vijayan and other leaders is the acute crisis in the CPM. The factionalism in the CPM has come to such a level that the party is unable to accommodate a senior leader like Achuthanandan. How can a party, which cannot accept its own leader, will see the people of the state as one," Sudheeran said and added that the question has become more relevant now.

"The CPM has turned out to be a synonym of intolerance. The BJP and the CPM has turned out to be two sides of the same coin," Sudheeran said. He was talking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram.
