KERALA

Very bad time for Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, warn top astrologers

With so many controversies surrounding his government, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is having a tough time. Recently, a minister in his cabinet made some salacious remarks about a woman labourers’ group in the state. If that was not enough, the Supreme Court pulled up the state government some days ago for not boosting the morale of honest police officers, after the court ordered the reinstatement of director general of police T.P. Senkumar, who was removed as the chief of the Kerala Police after Vijayan assumed office last May. Also, two ministers in the state cabinet had to resign over different reasons. Even the CPI, an ally in the ruling Left Democratic Front, has been critical of the shortcomings of the government. One year since he took over as the chief minister of Kerala, it seems time is not at all good for Vijayan.

Said the famous astrologer Kanippayyur Narayanan Namboodiripad, “Pinarayi Vijayan was born on May 24, 1945, in Pinarayi town in Kannur district of Kerala. He was born in Chitra nakshatra and is currently passing through the ketu dasha. It is a very bad time for him. In fact, till September, he needs to be extra careful and needs to think twice before taking any decision. Things look favourable for him only from January 2018.” Namboodiripad said that Vijayan needs to seek divine help to tide over the crisis. “But being a communist leader, it cannot be expected from him. So, his family members and all blood relatives should pray for him and undertake rituals till the year end,” said Namboodiripad.

Astrologer Parappanangadi Unnikrishna Panicker has predicted some sort of problems for Vijayan till he completes 72 years next May. “His horoscope, taken from his place of birth and date, is a good one with all the essential traits. But he is going through a rough patch now, as a particular dasha’s closing period is causing him problems. He needs to be careful for some time. I don’t see any of the current doshams surrounding him affecting his stature as a leader or causing problems to the government. He would eventually come out as a winner.”

Former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa used to consult Panicker frequently.

When THE WEEK contacted Vijayan, his press secretary Prabha Varma, who is a well-known poet, said that the CM was not interested to know what the stars predicted for him. “He doesn’t believe in astrology. So, there is no point asking him such questions,” said Varma, who was keen to know what the astrologers had said about Vijayan.

Last week, writer and former bureaucrat D. Babu Paul had said to THE WEEK that the time was not good for Vijayan. Said Paul, “If we talk on astrological terms, it seems the time is not good for Vijayan. The government is getting into unnecessary controversies, although Vijayan is a man of good intentions and has great plans for the state.”
