And Mumbai police commissioner Ahmed Javed, indeed, stands out among his colleagues across the country for his sense of humor on social media. He is popular for using puns in his tweets, while sounding stringent warnings.
His latest tweets anti-drug campaign is going viral and garnering positive response from the internet users.
“Hi! Have you ‘meth’ us? #HoshMeinAao,” his tweet said.
“If you roll, we will weed you out. #HoshMeinAao,” this tweet from CP Mumbai Police account struck a chord with Twitterites. It was re-tweeted thousands of times, besides making news headlines online.
The Twitter account of Mumbai police commissioner, which was set up at the end of the December, currently has more than 27,000 followers and is growing strong. The Twitter account and posts are managed by Trivone Digital Services, a content marketing and digital media agency. However, all the posts first needs to be approved by the police.
