A sting operation by a national TV news channel has claimed to have visually established that India's most-wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim is, indeed in Pakistan and is living in a well-guarded bungalow in a posh area in Karachi.

According to the CNN-News18 report, Dawood lives in a set up very similar to slain Al Qaeda's head Osama Bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan's garrison town in Abbottabad, where he was killed in a US covet operation on May 1, 2011.

Dawood's house address in Karachi is D 13, Block 4, Clifton, a posh neigbhourhood and it is heavily guarded round-the-clock by his own security men, according to the report.

The report also claims that neighbours and even local policemen were aware of Dawood's presence and his movements in Clifton neigbhourhood.

Reacting to the fresh reports, Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup said that the sting only corroborates India's position on Dawood's whereabouts.

"Dawood is a UN-designated global terrorist and a fugitive from the Indian law. At several points of time, his details, including his possible location in Pakistan, have been shared with the Pakistan government,” Swarup told reporters

“The said news reports only corroborates the facts that were already available with us. We will continue to pursue this matter and we expect Pakistan to hand over this international terrorist to us," he added.

India has been trying to bring Dawood back to the country to prosecute him for masterminding the deadly 1993 Mumbai bombings. Despite India's several appeals and providing strong evidence, Pakistan has blatantly denied his presence in its country for 23 years now.

Dawood, however, said to be a high-value intelligence asset for Pakistan, continues to live as a free man in Pakistan even as he remote controls his underworld activities in India.
