Tamil Nadu advocate moved the Supreme Court on Tuesday against a Madras High Court order forbidding a probe on former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa's death.
The lawyer, Joseph sought the apex court's direction for constituting a commission by a retired judge.
Joseph urged the state assembly to decide on formation of the probe enquiry commission.
In September, retired Madras High Court judge Justice A. Arumugasamy was appointed to probe the death of Jayalalithaa after the present chief minister E. Palaniswamy announced that a judicial probe would be ordered in the matter.
