While it can only be believed after the actual opening of the Sirpur-Kagaznagar Paper Mills in Adilabad district, it would seem that there is some hope. Especially after the Minister for Industries K.T.Rama Rao said that the Telangana state government had initiated measures to revive the mills, which was closed in 2014. Even though the paper manufacturing unit could have run the business, the management decided to shut business.

The mill employs close to 2000 workers. According to KTR, all those workers who had lost their jobs with the mill shutting down, would get their job back. He also promised that the government would stand guarantor to the banks and private industries if they came forward to revive the Mill.

KTR also held a meeting with Forests, Science and Technology Minister Jogi Ramanna and other officials and sounded determined to revive all sick industries in the state. Representatives from two leading paper manufacturers, ITC and JK Paper, were also present and KTR assured them all kinds of government help. He also promised to these industries that the government would give uninterrupted power supply.

The minister also added that the industry which comes forward will also be given a few of the concessions extended to the other new industries.
