Recruitment and transfer of teachers have been at once the boon and the bane for political leaders in Haryana. It was a scam in the recruitment of teachers that landed Khattar's predecessor, Om Prakash Chautala, in jail along with his son.
Technology has come to the aid of Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in dealing with this.
Khattar would be plagued by all manners of political leaders including cabinet colleagues during the teacher recuritment and teacher-transfer season.
He has uploaded the policies with regard to this as well as the transfer of teachers on the government's website.
"Now neither can the teacher knock at the door of others to get himself transferred, nor does any individual give a slip for this to any MP, MLA, minister or officer. It is online, it is transparent. This has also been appreciated by the teachers as well as guardians of students," said Khattar.
The state government, Khattar stated, had started e-services on a large scale, through 131 d-dish and 3616 common service centres. The 117 e-services covered 21 departments, and 56 of these pertaining to six departments, were launched on Dec 25.
