In a horrific incident, a Muslim man was brutally hacked with an axe and later burned to death over alleged 'love jihad' in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district.

The entire incident was filmed and uploaded on social media.

The video, which has now gone viral, shows a man attacking the helpless victim continuously with an axe. According to media reports, the deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Mohammed Afrazul, a labourer from West Bengal.

The perpetrator of the crime, who has now been arrested, is also seen issuing a warning in the video, saying anyone who is involved in 'love jihad' will meet with the same fate as the man who has been killed. The accused has been identified as Shambhu Lal, according to media reports.

The manner in which the video has been shot also suggests that there is another person involved in the crime.

Reacting to the incident, Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said it is "shocking how he killed the man and made a video of it. Accused has been arrested and a special investigation team (SIT) has been set up for investigation in the case," reports ANI.
