Pakistan resorts to heavy shelling on LoC in Rajouri district

Pakistan army on Tuesday resorted to heavy mortar shelling on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu region.

Police said Pakistan used 120mm and 82mm mortar shells to target Indian positions in Kalsian (Nowshera) sector of the LoC in Rajouri district on Tuesday morning.

"The Indian army effectively retaliated Pakistan shelling and firing. After appropriate response from the Indian side, Pakistan army had stopped shelling now," the police said.

"Heavy exchanges continued for over an hour in the area creating panic among the residents," police added.
