Conspirators of the Mumbai terror attacks continued to spread religious disharmony and plot terror strikes against India, reveals the latest set of charges framed against the only Indian hand in the 26/11 conspiracy — Zaibuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal .
The NIA special court in Delhi framed charges against alleged top Lashkar terrorist and one of the 26/11 commanders Abu Jundal, charging him with recruiting vulnerable Muslim youth to join Jehad against India and conspiring to carry out terror attacks even after the horrific Mumbai terror attacks. Jundal hails from Beed district of Maharashtra.
The only Indian arrested and chargesheeted in the 26/11 case , Jundal was conspiring with other Pakistan-based Lashkar leadership and using social media platforms like Facebook to scout for vulnerable youth belonging to the minority community to instigate them against other religions to spread religious disharmony.
A proclaimed offender in the Aurangabad arms haul case, Jundal was booked by the NIA in a separate case registered in June 2012 for conspiring as a Lashkar member to carry out terror attacks against India. When he was in Saudi Arabia , Jundal had opened a fictitious Facebook account to evade the law enforcement agencies and scout for Muslim youth both in india and other countries to wage war against india and recruit them for LeT.
While in Saudi Arabia in 2010, he had even paid a sum of Rs 45000 to brother of one of the accused in the Aurangabad arms haul case to influence him. In May 2013, Jundal was deported from Saudi Arabia .
