With the tensions between India and Pakistan becoming increasingly evident especially after the surgical strike by the Indian Army, a group of people in Amritsar have decided to express their displeasure by burning effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with those of Ravana, Kumbhkarna and Meghnad on Dussehra.

The effigy was spotted wrapped in the Pakistan flag with Sharif’s photo on top.

Minister Anil Joshi told ANI that the reason for doing this was because they believe that this move would send across a message to Pakistan, which has been sheltering terrorists and exporting terror to other countries, that if it does not stop doing so, the country would also meet the same fate as the effigy.

Indian Army on September 29 said it conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) in response to the terrorist attack at Uri sector.

Two Pakistani soldiers and over 30 terrorists were reportedly killed in the attack.
