Jashodaben, the wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday paid a visit to Mahakal Shiva Temple in Ujjain, along with four relatives.

According to reports, she arrived at the temple without the escort of the police or the Special Protection Group (SPG) and paid obeisance at the temple like an ordinary citizen.

She was seen jostling among devotees as an ordinary pilgrim, seeking 'darshan' of lord Shiva, reports said.

She had come to Ujjain to take holy dip in Shipra river, where the Kumbh Mela is going on. The local administration said it was not aware of her visit.
