A group of heavily armed militants attacked an army camp along the International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, leading to heavy gun battle between the security forces and terrorists.
The field regiment camp is located in the garrison town of Nagrota near the headquarters of army's 16 corps in the state.
"A group of heavily armed militants, believed to be four-to-five in number, attacked the 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area of Jammu today (Tuesday) morning," the police said.
According to media reports, two soldiers have reportedly sustained injuries in the gun battle.
Schools in the area have been asked to shut down in the wake of the attack.
