West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, on Tuesday, termed prime minister Narendra Modi as an agent of corporates like Paytm. Mamata asked Modi to learn from what Donald Trump said, “send letters through courier, not email. Email is not safe.”

Mamata said that even US does 40 percent cash transaction in their country while Germany does 60 percent.

“A poor country like us does little more than 93 percent. What’s wrong with it?” she asked.

Mamata asked Modi to pay travel expense to people from rural areas, who would have to travel 30 km to do cashless transactions.

“I think he needs to learn from America's president elect. He thinks he knows everything. I am saying this because USA is Modi babu’s best friend,” said Mamata at a function in Jangalmahal.

Sources said Mamata rushed to Jangalmahal after it was reported to her that Maoists were trying to recruit youths from those areas. She distributed footballs to youths of Jangalmahal.

She said she did not care about threat of BJP through CBI and ED.

She also welcomed the supreme court verdict on religious campaigns in elections and said, without naming BJP, “It’s a befitting reply to people who play dirty religious politics during election. They are trying to create trouble in Bengal as well.”
