The ministry of external affairs recently recalled three junior-level officials of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad after the ISI attempted to honey trap them into revealing secrets.
According to media reports, the three officials worked in the language department of the mission. They were recalled to New Delhi after they reported to officials a possible attempt to honey trap them. The trio are currently being questioned by officials to ascertain the nature of the plot.
This is reportedly not the first attempt by the ISI to honey trap Indian officials to reveal classified information. Sources claim that honey trapping is a preferred method by the ISI as the use of cash would leave a trail for any investigators.
