Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is known for his keen interest in meditation, expressed a desire to fully immerse himself in Vipassana someday.

Kejriwal finished a ten-day Vipassana course at Dhamma Giri in Igatpuri, Maharashtra. He broke the meditation-induced silence, tweeting, “Just finished Vipassana meditation course. It's bliss. Hope someday, me n my wife will fully immerse ourselves in meditation.”

He enrolled in the Vipassana course, taking a break after the Aam Aadmi Party's morale-boosting victory over the BJP and the Congress in the bypoll in the assembly constituency of Bawana.

The Dhamma Giri camp in Igatpuri, Nasik, is one of the largest Vipassana camps in the country. For ten days, Kejriwal did not have access to newspapers, TV, or even his phone.

After completing the Vipassana course, Kejriwal travelled back to Delhi and attended official meetings in the evening.

Kejriwal's last Vipassana break was a year back. He had attended a meditation camp in Dharamkot in Himachal Pradesh.

The AAP convenor has always followed up hectic electioneering with the silence of meditation. He took Vipassana breaks after the assembly polls in 2013, and the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. He has completed as many as 22 Vipassana courses so far.

Following the assembly elections earlier this year, which saw Kejriwal campaign extensively in Punjab, he had undergone naturopathy treatment in Bengaluru to control his high blood sugar.
