HC stays vigilance court order against Chandy, Aryadan

Justice P Ubaid has suspended for two months the vigilance court order against Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy and Power Minister Aryadan Muhammad. The vigilance court had on Thursday ordered for the registration of FIR against Chandy and Aryadan in connected with the Solar scam.

The high court strongly criticised the action of the vigilance court. The court does not know its responsibility. The high court administrative section should check this, the judge said. The media reports related to revelations made by Saritha Nair were taken as the base for the actions taken by the vigilance court, the judge observed. This cannot be taken as the base for a complaint.
