Adding fuel to the high-voltage poll campaign in Gujarat, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi took a dig at Prime Minister Modi and the latter's 2012 promises when he was chief minister of the state.
On Wednesday morning, Gandhi tweeted a short poem in Hindi, reminding Modi about promises made and the state of affairs in Gujarat. In the tweet, Gandhi said the Modi government in Gujarat had promised 50 lakh new houses for people in 2012. However, only 4.72 lakh houses have been built so far. “Mr Prime Minister, tell us, is it going to take another 45 years to fulfill the promise,” Gandhi asked.
In the beginning of the tweeted poem, Gandhi said that Gujarat will demand an explanation for the past 22 years.
Earlier he had said: "What has been done by the BJP government in the past 22 years is not Gujarat model, instead it is Narendra Modi marketing model and now it has become Vijay Rupani model.

2012 में वादा किया कि 50 लाख नए घर देंगे।
5 साल में बनाए 4.72 लाख घर।
प्रधानमंत्रीजी बताइए कि क्या ये वादा पूरा होने में 45 साल और लगेंगे?
