Prohibitory orders were today imposed in the entire Haryana, ahead of verdict in a case involving Dera Sacha Sauda chief.
Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Ram Niwas said section 144 has been imposed in all the districts of the state.
He said carrying of any kind of stick or weapon has also been prohibited at 'Naam Charcha Ghar' of Dera followers.
Niwas also urged the followers not to take any steps that would stain the image of Dera. "Action will be taken against those who tried to disturb the law-and-order situation in the state," he warned.
Security forces have been pressed into service in border areas and the Centre has already been requested to provide 115 companies of paramilitary forces, he informed.
Anti-social elements or any other person who would try to disturb law and order would be arrested, he said.
Leaves of police personnel have been cancelled and home guards are being called on duty.
"We have adequate police force. Police nakas are being laid where all vehicles will be checked. All borders of the state have been sealed and inter-state and inter-district activities of vehicles are being closely monitored", he said.
Duty magistrates have been deployed at all locations, Niwas said, adding there was need to deploy additional duty magistrates in some districts and sanction for which is being released.
Arrangement of cranes, ambulances, and fire brigades has been made at different locations. The officers concerned have been directed to take necessary steps to deal with any kind of situation, he added.
Niwas said the state government has appointed senior IAS officer V Umashankar, with the district administration, Sirsa. He is holding meeting with people concerned so that law and order situation could be maintained in all circumstances.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Sirsa, Prabhjot Singh, exhorted the representatives of Panchayat Raj Institution (PRI) to give information on his mobile number about any anti-social element trying to damage the social fabric and public property.
Prabhjot, who was addressing the Sarpanches and Panches of 338 villages of the district at Panchayat Bhawan, said that information could also be given to superintendent of police on his mobile number.
He said Sarpanch is the head of the village and it is his responsibility to ensure the security of his village.
He asked them to keep a close vigil on those roaming around the transformer or involved in cutting trees and also inquired the reason behind doing so.
DC said they should not allow the people to gather at the religious or other places in the village and encouraged them to deposit their licensed arms.
Superintendent of police Ashwin Shenvi said peace and security could be ensured in both villages and town with the cooperation of sarpanches.
He asked them to make the youth aware so that they do not indulge in any illegal activities and thereby ensure peace in the village and district.
Strict action would be taken against those found trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere, he added.
The special CBI court in Panchkula will pronounce the judgment in sexual exploitation case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on August 25.
Sirsa headquartered sect head has also been asked to appear in person before the court on the same day.
