CRPF jawan opens fire after tiff, kills four of his colleagues

Four CRPF personnel, including three officers, were killed on Saturday evening in Bijapur in south Bastar when a jawan allegedly opened fire indiscriminately after an altercation.

According to reports, two sub-inspectors and an assistant sub-inspector and a jawan belonging to 168th battalion were killed by their colleague named Santram. Another jawan, who was injured in the shooting, was airlifted to Raipur. The incident has been confirmed by DIG Sundarrajan.

Santram has been working with CRPF for last 10 years. The incident occurred in a camp located near Basaguda police station. 

The collector and SP of the district have rushed to the spot after the incident.
