Britannica COO Vineet Whig jumps to death

A top executive of Encyclopaedia Britannica on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by throwing himself off his apartment building in Gurgaon.

Vineet Whig, the Chief Operating Officer for Britannica, reportedly jumped from 19th floor of his apartment building into a deep shaft. A suicide note was also recovered from his pocket by the police, in which he reportedly claimed that he was fed up with himself and decided to end his life.

Whig is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and his father.

His father Om Whig suffered a heart attack on hearing the news and is now hospitalized, reported Times of India.

According to the report, legal formalities ding autopsy were completed under Section 174 of CrPC.
